Gold All On My Box

Okay, I have a lot of jewelry in general, but especially bracelets. I have always had a hard time figuring out how to store them in a way that is space-saving but also let’s me see what I have. I decided I needed some type of cute box with some drawers.

So I went to the first place I go for everything–the thrift store. And lo and behold there was a 6 drawer wooden box right there with my name on it. It was in good shape except for the fact that the front of the drawers were painted a coral/pink color with white flowers–not my style. But it was 5 bucks so I took it home and knew I could figure out something to do with it.

I envisioned a pale blue and gold situation but it didn’t really pan out as I thought it would. For some reason the gold didn’t pop on the drawers like I wanted it to and the blue wasn’t as pale as I expected. I decided to stick with the brighter blue on the outside but needed to figure something out for the drawers. I painted them gray and thought I would just leave them that way but it looked washed out and weird. Just when I thought I wouldn’t be able to use the gold, I got some Pinspiration and decided to try a not-so-perfect triangle pattern.

It is definitely not what I thought it would look like initially but I really love it and it holds all my stuff so well!
